The art of not trying.
Trying to not disrupt the process, by letting it take place & respecting father time.
So i have come to think about this quite a lot as of late.
Some processes takes time, trying to speed things up can be detrimental to the process.
Meaning that by trying to do more we can make it detrimental, meaning, if we try to force a seed to grow by giving it too much water, too much nutrition etc, we can ruin the soil and by giving it to much water we can drown it, by giving it “too much sun” we can burn it.
At times we have to let the process take it’s due course, by pushing to much at the wrong time we can ruin it or make the process not as smooth.
By learning to play it cool at times, not overworking, or appearing to ambitious, because it can leave a sour taste in the other parties mouth.
Like why is he so eager to do this, is there something wrong with the deal or something else?
We don’t have to do anything we can just sit here and relax, we’ll take our time, so by trying to push it at the wrong moment you’ll extend the duration of the process.
The same goes for trading, by just going along slowly and letting the compounding work it’s magic you’ll “make it”, but if you try to oversize and use to much leverage, you might take a big hit and it will end up taking more time than it needs to.
I suppose this comes from Wu Wei, the Chinese philosophy of “not trying” , it might be a oversimplification.
But! If you push it to hard in certain situations and want something to much, or showing it to the other party/market, you might end up getting punished for it.
So let the process take it’s time, don’t rush it and relax a bit.
Find a process that works, and just stick to it and don’t switch processes to often.
Hope ya’ll have a great week ahead.
